The MMRDA is likely to clinch the deal for redeveloping Nariman Point in
Mumbai. The project includes redeveloping the Mantralaya.
The MMRDA plans to have a 25-storey new Mantralaya, posh new apartments for
the ministers, open spaces, walkways for pedestrians and a car park with a
capacity to accommodate 5,000 cars. In its budget 2010-2011, the Authority has
proposed Rs 100 crore for Nariman Point’s upgrade as well.
