The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) is planning to launch
four institutes by December 2010.
The four campuses are to come up at Chennai, Kolkata, Chindwara (Madhya
Pradesh) and Haryana at a cost of Rs 384 crore. These institutes are likely to
have combined capacity of 1,500 students. The respective state government have
offered land for these projects at free of cost.
Two design and retail institutions, LDT Nagold of Germany and AR Sutoria,
Milan, Italy along with FDDI will design the courses.
