Mahanagar Gas (MGL) proposes to invest over Rs 15,000 crore to develop
infrastructure for the supply of both compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped
natural gas (PNG), by 2016.
MGL is planning to enter in Navi Mumbai, Ulhasnagar, Kalyan, Dahisar and
Mira-Bhayander in Maharashtra to supply CNG and PNG, by 2013.
Further it intends to double the number of its dispensing units and CNG
stations by 2013. Currently it has 709 dispensing units and 150 CNG stations
along with 4-lakh domestic customers for PNG.
