ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned the first 28 MW phase of its 100 MW ACME Eco Clean wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat, marking a significant step in expanding its renewable energy portfolio.
With this addition, the company’s total operational capacity has increased from 2,890 MW to 2,918 MW. The project, financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and executed through ACME’s in-house EPC division, pools electricity at a 33/220 kV station before transmitting it to the Shapar substation via a dedicated 220 kV transmission line. The new facility shares the substation with ACME’s earlier commissioned 50 MW wind project.
Power generated from the project will be supplied under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL). Strategically located in one of India’s highest wind resource zones, the project underscores ACME’s commitment to advancing India’s renewable energy targets and strengthening its clean power generation capacity.
