French hospitality giant Accor, which is executing 30 new hospitality projects, including the newly launched Hotel Pullman Chennai, Anna Salai, is expanding into Tier-III cities. It marks Pullman’s debut in South India.
Spread across 5,000 sq. mtrs., the hotel features 232 rooms and 1,700 sq. mtrs. of event space. Dining options include Mercato, Mercato Bar, known for curated wines, and Up North, a rooftop restaurant offering North Indian cuisine with city views. Property owner Ceebros invested approx. Rs 100 crore in refurbishment and upgrades.
Currently, Accor operates eight brands in India, while Pullman has over 450 hotels across Asia and more than 5,000 globally. The brand added 44 hotels in Asia last year.
Ceebros CEO C Velan highlighted sustainability initiatives, stating, “Pullman Chennai runs entirely on renewable energy from Ceebros’ wind farm and rooftop solar panels,” improving energy efficiency by 20 percent. It also conserves 55 percent of water and retains nearly all of its original structure, earning LEED certification.
Ceebros is actively exploring further hotel and resort developments in Chennai and its outskirts.
