Afcons Infrastructure has been awarded a letter of intent (LoI) by the Ministry of Defence, through the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
The project involves the "augmentation of MTC, creation of SAF, and workshop equipment for the ship lift facility (AMCSWF)" in Visakhapatnam. Under a design & build (D&B) concept, the work encompasses civil, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, ELV systems, furniture, interiors, and associated tasks.
The initiative is expected to be completed over 36 months, with a project value of Rs 1,084.54 crore.
This comprehensive approach aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the ship lift facility, which is critical for India's defence infrastructure.
