Agilent Technologies, global leader in life sciences and diagnostics, has inaugurated its new Biopharma Experience Centre in Hyderabad.
The state-of-the-art facility offers end-to-end solutions in chromatography, mass spectrometry, cell analysis, and lab informatics, enabling real-time lab simulations to support drug development, quality testing, and compliance. Telangana Industries and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, who inaugurated the centre, highlighted its role in strengthening Telangana’s global leadership in life sciences. “We are proud to host eight of the top ten global pharma companies, over 230 US FDA-approved manufacturing units, and five of India’s leading healthcare chains,” he said.
Telangana contributes nearly one-third of India’s pharmaceutical output and 40 percent of bulk drug exports. The Minister emphasised Hyderabad's mature life sciences ecosystem, noting that the centre will help advance biologics, biosimilars, and precision medicine.
Agilent President and CEO Padraig McDonnell described India as a “strategic growth market,” with the centre forming part of a larger three to five year expansion plan. The centre is supported by Hyderabad’s robust infrastructure, skilled talent base, and innovation-focused policy environment, positioning it as a major hub for healthcare advancement in India and beyond.
