Sify Infinit Spaces, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sify Technologies, will establish a large-scale data centre in Visakhapatnam with a total investment of Rs 16,466 crore.
The company will invest Rs 1,466 crore in the first phase, with the remaining funds allocated to the second phase. The project is expected to generate employment for 600 people.
This investment is part of a broader set of proposals cleared by the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), which has approved projects with a combined investment potential of Rs 20,216 crore. These projects are expected to create approx. 50,600 work opportunities, according to Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT and Human Resources Development. The SIPB meeting was chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat in Amaravati.
Other major projects include a Rs 1,500 crore investment by Bengaluru-based Sattva Developers, a Rs 1,000 crore proposal by ANSR Global Corporation, and a Rs 1,250 crore investment by BVM Energy and Residency.
