Akshaya, a real estate developer has announced the launch of India’s first hygiene-happy homes named Twin D, a twin-tower residential project featuring 12 super-safe features at OMR in Kelambakkam, Tamil Nadu.
Twin D comprises 174 smart two and three BHK houses in sizes ranging from 986 sq ft to 1,333 sq ft.
The residential project is equipped with state-of-the-art specifications like touch-free lifts, home-automation systems and anti-bacterial paint.
With over 14 floors, Twin D is specifically designed as a project with less density homes per floor for social distancing, with just six homes per floor. It gives 34 ft space between any two opposite homes, which is at least three times more than the average space in a typical high-rise residential apartment in Chennai.
Further, with innovation in design, Twin D houses enjoy minimum common walls. As much as 83 percent of the project is dedicated for open spaces.
To avoid physical contact on lift surfaces within the campus, the project uses touch-free and voice-operated lifts that are powered by Amazon’s virtual assistant, Alexa. The fans and lights in the houses can be controlled remotely, along with gas leak detection system as well as detection of intrusion through external doors.
Another key feature of Twin-D is that it is a monsoon-proof residential project. The towers are located on an elevated ground, about seven ft above the OMR main road level. No power equipment is kept in the basement, making it safe from floods.
The property has all standard safety and environmental standards including 24x7 CCTV surveillance, piped cooking gas supply, rain water harvesting.
