The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has launched the Naimish Nagar model township along Sitapur Road, spanning 1,084 hectares to house around three lakh residents.
Construction of the first site office has started at Purva village in Bakshi Ka Talab, with land acquisition to proceed through consent-based agreements under the approved Standard Operating Procedure. Eighteen villages, including Bhauli, Lakshmipur, Purba Gaon, Purva, Sairpur, Farrukhabad, and Kamalabad, are part of the project. Estimated land acquisition cost is Rs 4,785 crore.
The township will feature residential, commercial, and public amenities such as roads, parks, schools, hospitals, and waste management systems. LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar said the scheme aims to meet housing demand while boosting industry, health, education, and logistics, attracting investment and creating employment.
Joint Secretary Sushil Pratap Singh added that villages in the project area will see infrastructure upgrades including drainage, playgrounds, marriage halls, and health centres. Officials expect land deed processes to commence soon after obtaining farmers’ consent, paving the way for rapid development.
