Ampvolts, a prominent electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure provider in India, has entered into a strategic partnership with Mecpower Solutions, a leading solar power company under the Onix Group. 

The memorandum of understanding (MoU), signed on 08 May, 2025, in Vadodara, aims to accelerate the development of sustainable and resilient green power infrastructure for EV charging across India. The collaboration is designed to harness the core competencies of both organisations to address the increasing demand for eco-friendly mobility solutions. Under the agreement, Ampvolts will identify strategic locations for deploying bulk EV charging stations, acting as the front-end partner for major projects.

The company will also contribute essential operational resources and support for developing holistic green mobility solutions. Mecpower Solutions, in turn, will supply advanced solar power systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, and essential hardware. The company will also provide technical expertise to deliver optimised solar power plants in accordance with regulations set by various DISCOMs.

This partnership represents a vital step toward integrating renewable energy into India's EV ecosystem, ensuring both sustainability and scalability. The partnership is expected to bolster India’s efforts in achieving its net-zero targets while advancing EV adoption and renewable energy penetration.
