The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, approved a series of significant proposals, including the restoration of 500 acres of land to the developer of Bhogapuram Greenfield International Airport (GVIAL) for city-side development.
This decision aims to accelerate the airport’s progress and enhance surrounding infrastructure. In addition, the Cabinet cleared the allotment of 615 acres in Muttukuru to APIIC for establishing an industrial park, and approved land for Adani Power’s 500 MW project in Tadimarri and a 1,000 MW pumped storage project in Kondapuram, priced at Rs five lakh per acre. A proposal to recruit 2,260 Special Education Teachers was also approved to support inclusive education.
Other key decisions include shifting Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University from Hyderabad to Andhra Pradesh and approving a Legal University in Amaravati. The Cabinet endorsed Rs 9,246 crore in investments from companies like Deccan Fine Chemicals, Bharat Electronics, PUR Energy, Blue Jet Healthcare, and Jupiter Renewables—generating work opportunities for over 7,700 individuals The total investment approvals reached Rs 30,000 crore, potentially creating employment for 35,000 people.
