Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Dr. P Narayana announced that all TIDCO houses across the state will be completed and handed over to beneficiaries by March 2026.
During an inspection of the Jagannathagattu TIDCO colony in Kurnool, he confirmed that construction had resumed in all 163 townships, promising world-class infrastructure and ensuring no eligible family would be left without a home. Highlighting the previous housing drive, Dr. Narayana stated that seven lakh TIDCO houses were sanctioned during the earlier regime, with approvals for five lakh and tenders for 4.74 lakh homes. He credited Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for introducing shear wall technology, making houses earthquakeresistant, durable, and affordable.
The Minister announced Rs six crore for immediate development of Jagannathagattu colony and allocation of 10 acres for an MSME park expected to generate 1,000 work opportunities. He emphasized speeding up construction, improving amenities, and ensuring sustainable township planning with modern utilities, green spaces, and transparent allotments.
