The Andhra Pradesh government has signed an agreement with the World Economic Forum (WEF) to establish a Centre for Energy and Cyber Resilience, aimed at protecting the state’s electricity infrastructure.
The agreement was finalised on the concluding day of the 30th CII Partnership Summit in Vishakhapatnam, with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu present at the signing. The Centre will focus on enhancing energy security using advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). CM Naidu highlighted the state’s ambition to generate 160 GW of green energy and reduce power transmission losses. The partnership is part of broader efforts to develop sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions.
Additionally, CM Naidu announced that Andhra Pradesh attracted Rs 13 lakh crore in investment commitments during the summit, which is expected to generate 30 lakh employment. The state plans to host the next year's summit in Vizag.
