Ahmedabad based Arvind Mills has chalked out an investment plan to be
implemented by 2015.
The company is likely to invest about Rs 850 crore for expansion in both its
core business of textiles and new businesses of realty and food.
Major chunk of the investment is likely to be utilised towards ramping up
denim fabric production, expanding retail chain - Megamart - and bringing in
more international brands in India. The denim production is likely to be raised
from the current 110 million mtrs per annum to 150 million mtrs per annum by
2011.
