Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd
(BHEL) has bagged orders worth Rs.2,700 crore for three mega
power projects of NTPC, with a total generating capacity of 1,710
MW.
The three projects, involving four
distinct packages, are:
1. Sipat Super Thermal Power
Station (Stage II, 2 x 500 MW, Chhattisgarh)
2. Kahalgaon Super Thermal Power Station (Phase II of Stage II, 1
x 500 MW, Bihar)
3. Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Project (Stage II, 1 x
210 MW, Uttar Pradesh)
BHEL's scope of work envisages
manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of steam
turbines, generators, boilers, associated auxiliaries, balance of
plant and electricals, besides modern controls &
instrumentation (C&I), eletrostatic precipitators (ESPs) and
switchyard (only for Project 3).
