Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has issued a tender for setting up a 130 tonne per day (TPD) municipal solid waste (MSW)-based compressed biogas (CBG) plant at the Trenching Ground in Jamul, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.
The project is intended for commercial use and will be executed under the domestic competitive bidding (DCB) basis. The proposed plant will convert MSW into compressed biogas, supporting sustainable waste management while producing eco-friendly fuel.
BPCL is expanding into the renewable energy (RE) sector as part of its strategic diversification, and the planned CBG plant forms part of BPCL’s broader efforts to establish its RE portfolio in India.
The bid closing date is set for 14 July, 2025.
