Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on 11 August, 2025 inaugurated six major infrastructure projects worth Rs 766.73 crore to enhance road connectivity in western Patna.
Announced earlier during the CM's Pragati Yatra, the projects comprise four roads, a flyover, and an underground drain-cum-road. Three separate foundation stone-laying ceremonies were held—at Patna AIIMS roundabout, near Kathwan Rupaspur canal, and on Nehru Path below Patli road.
The key works include widening the 10.5 km AIIMS-Janipur-Painapur Nev road (Rs 138.50 crore), constructing a Naubatpur flyover (Rs 73.06 crore), building a 6.9 km four-lane link road to Khagaul-Nehru Path (Rs 71.48 crore), and a Danapur link road (Rs 148.86 crore). The largest allocation, Rs 318.51 crore, will fund an underground drainage-cum-road from Rupaspur canal to Saguna Mor, while Rs 21.35 crore will widen Nehru Path–Gola road.
CM Kumar emphasised easing traffic flow from major localities and boosting economic growth. Officials, including Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, MLC Rabindra Kumar Singh, and senior bureaucrats, attended the events.
