German footwear brand Birkenstock has crossed the 50-store mark in India, solidifying its retail presence with the opening of three new outlets in Mumbai—at Phoenix Palladium, Phoenix Marketcity, and Sky City Mall, Borivali.

These additions bring its Mumbai footprint to eight stores, making the city a focal point of its India operations. Mumbai hosted Birkenstock’s flagship store in 2024, and its success has catalysed further expansion. Customers can access the latest Spring/Summer collection, including styles like ARIZONA, BOSTON, GIZEH, and MADRID, as well as premium 1774 products at Phoenix Palladium.

Other existing locations in Mumbai include Linking Road, R City Mall, Nexus Seawoods Mall, Infiniti Mall, and the T2 International Departures Terminal.

Birkenstock’s continued investment aims to meet growing consumer demand and strengthen its position in India’s organized footwear segment. Vinay Bansal, MD, Birkenstock India, emphasized the brand's strong momentum in Mumbai, citing its broad appeal and the city's evolving retail ecosystem.
