Aditya Birla Group has opened its fourth factory of Birla Opus Paints in Chamarajnagar, Karnataka, increasing its total installed capacity to 866 million litres annually. This move solidifies Opus Paints, a division of Grasim Industries, as the second-largest player in the decorative paints market by installed capacity.
The company is targeting a revenue goal of Rs 10,000 crore within the first three years of full-scale operations.
This new facility is part of its growth strategy to meet the rising demand in the southern region. The plant is set to enhance product quality and service delivery, demonstrating the company's commitment to becoming a leader in the decorative paint industry, Chairman of Aditya Birla Group, Kumar Mangalam Birla said.
