1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Brigade Hotel Ventures to expand footprint in leisure destinations, temple towns

Brigade Hotel Ventures (BHVL), a subsidiary of Bengaluru-based Brigade Enterprises is looking to expand its footprint into prominent religious and leisure destinations across the country.

The company, the second-largest owner of chain-affiliated hotels in South India, currently operates nine hotels in cities including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chennai, Kochi, and GIFT City in Gujarat, offering a total of 1,604 keys. 

BHVL has partnerships with global hospitality giants such as Marriott, Accor, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Hyatt for its upcoming Chennai property. By FY29, the company plans to increase its portfolio to 14 hotels with 2,560 keys. It also aims to develop a hotel near the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) on Tumakuru Road. 

Nirupa Shankar, Managing Director of BHVL, announced the company’s upcoming initial public offering (IPO) of Rs 760 crore and stated, "The company proposes to utilise the net proceeds towards repayment of Rs 468 crore of debt and pay another Rs 107 crore for the purchase of land from the parent company."
