Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inspected the ongoing development of Gujarat’s advanced bulk drug park at Jambusar, Bharuch district, costing Rs 3,900 crore.
Spread over 815 hectares (2,015 acres), the park is being developed by GIDC under the Central government’s 2020 bulk drug park policy to boost India’s self-reliance in pharmaceutical production. During his visit, Patel reviewed progress on key common infrastructure facilities worth Rs 550 crore, including approach roads, compound walls, internal roads, pre-cast stormwater drains, internal water supply, and effluent disposal systems.
The project is scheduled for completion by March 2027, aiming to provide advanced facilities for bulk drug manufacturing.
In Bharuch, the CM also launched and laid foundations for 34 development works worth Rs 637 crore.
