The Cabinet Committee
on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has cleared several highways projects in Maharashtra,
Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, at revised costs.
The four laning of
Madhya Pradesh-Maharashtra border-Dhule section (km 380 to km 440) and six
laning of Pimpalgaon-Nashik-Gonde section of NH-3 in Maharashtra (km 168/500 to
km 265) under NHDP-Phase IIIA on BOT basis has got CCEA approval.
The project cost of
the MP-Maharashtra-Dhule section (97.5 km) is around Rs.751.68 crore and that of
Pimaplgaon-Nasik-Gonde section (60 km) is estimated at Rs.799.67 crore. The cost
of LA, R&R and pre-construction is Rs.76.65 crore and Rs.47.19 crore,
respectively. The concession period for the two sections is 18 and 20 years.
CCEA has also approved
the four laning of Panikoili-Keonjhar-Rimouli and
Rimouli-Roxy-Rajmundra sections of NH-215 and Chandikhole-Duburi-Talcher
section of NH-200 in Orissa under NHDP-Phase IIIA on BOT basis.
The project cost of
Panikoili-Keonjhar-Rimouli section (163 km) is estimated at Rs.1,170.59
crore, including Rs.84.40 crore for land acquisition (LA) , rehabilitation and
resettlement (R&R), and pre-construction.
Similarly, the cost of
Rimouli-Roxy-Rajmundra (106 km) and
Chandikhole-Duburi-Talcher (133 km) sections are Rs.849.05 crore and
Rs.969.63 crore, respectively. Likewise, the cost towards LA, R&R and
pre-construction of these two projects is Rs.195.29 crore and Rs.185.63 crore,
respectively. The concession periods for Panikoili-Keonjhar-Rimouli section will
be 20 years and for Chandikhole-Duburi-Talcher and Rimouli-Roxy-Rajmundra
sections, 18 and 25 years respectively.
The two laning of
paved shoulder of 80 km
Karaikudi-Ramanathapuram in Tamilnadu will be undertaken on BOT/DBFOT basis.
The cost of the 80-km stretch is estimated at Rs.530.33 crore, including
Rs.76.21 crore towards LA, R&R and pre-construction. The concession period will
be 15 years.
The four-laning of the
60.255-km long section between
Armur-Adloor Yellareddy in Andhra Pradesh will take place on a BOT basis at
an investment of Rs.531.67 crore. The cost also includes Rs 41.17 crore towards
land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R), and pre-construction.
The concession period will be 20 years.
In addition, the
Cabinet has given its approval for two deep drought berths at the Paradip Port
to be set up at an estimated cost of Rs.479.01 and Rs.591.35 crore respectively.
