Chalet Hotels, part of the K Raheja Group, has announced its acquisition of Mahananda Spa and Resorts, which owns The Westin Resort & Spa, Himalayas. The deal is valued at Rs 530 crore and involves Chalet Hotels' acquiring a 100 percent stake in Mahananda Spa and Resorts, a subsidiary of Mankind Pharma. The acquisition will help expand the company’s footprint in India’s luxury and leisure segment.
According to Chalet Hotels, this strategic acquisition will enhance its presence in the fast-growing leisure, spiritual, and wellness tourism sectors, while also creating new opportunities for offering premium experiences and generating long-term value. The Westin Resort & Spa, Himalayas, with 141 rooms and over 10,000 sq. ft. of event space, is positioned as a premier wellness destination.
The resort aligns with Chalet Hotels’ vision of delivering world-class hospitality experiences and catering to the evolving preferences of modern travellers. The resort’s scenic location and exceptional amenities will further strengthen Chalet Hotels’ leisure portfolio.
