Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), the bottling partner of Coca-Cola India is expanding its manufacturing footprint by opening up three greenfield plants. The plants will come up at Sanand in Gujarat, Hoshangabad in Madhya Pradesh, and Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. The bottling lines will be for carbonated beverages and juices/juice-based drinks.
The projects will entail a total investment of Rs 1,750 crore. The plants are at various stages of completion.
The company is also proposing to set up a bottling plant in Yadgir district of Karnataka. The project was on hold for seven years as the High Court had stayed the acquisition of 700 acre of land by the state as the farmers wanted more compensation. The company is awaiting final handover of land from the state government.
