Punjab based DCM Engineering, the manufacturer of engine blocks and cylinder
heads, proposes to set up a new plant. The company is likely to invest Rs 200
crore in the project. The location of the plant is likely to be finalised by
November 2010.
The facility is to have an installed capacity of 60,000 tonne of casting per
annum and is likely to be completed within 18 months.
Besides, DCM also plans to expand capacity of the existing unit at Ropar from
65,000 to 72,000 tonne of casting annually.
