The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has cleared the launch of the Housing Scheme 2025, offering 177 residential flats to middle and lower-income groups through e-auction.
The premium housing units will be located in Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Rohini, Pitampura, Jasola, Ashoka Pahari, and other prime areas of Delhi. Additionally, 67 car/scooter garages will also be available under this scheme. At a meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on 11 July, the DDA also approved key reforms to revive Delhi's commercial real estate sector and attract large-scale investments.
One of the major decisions was to drastically reduce amalgamation charges for commercial properties from 10 percent of the circle rate to just one percent, encouraging developers to consolidate land parcels for large projects. A DDA spokesperson stated, “High amalgamation costs were among the biggest deterrents for developers in Delhi. This decision is expected to trigger a new wave of commercial development in the capital.”
