The Haryana government has approved the long-awaited Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway, a 56-km, six-lane road linking Faridabad in Haryana to Noida and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
Initially proposed by the Noida Authority, only the Uttar Pradesh section had progressed, while Haryana delayed its approval. A key component of the project is a 600-mtrs.e bridge over the Yamuna near Lalpur village, with costs equally shared between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Both governments have devised a joint strategy to enhance regional connectivity.
Estimated at Rs 633 crore, the expressway is slated for completion by 2027. It will feature multi-level interchanges, flyovers, and paved shoulders for breakdowns and emergencies. "The FNG Expressway will streamline travel and boost infrastructure," an official stated.
