Phase I of Frontier Lifeline's Frontier Mediville medical science park being
set up on 365 acre at Elavur near Chennai is expected to be completed by
November. This includes a research & training centre and an animal laboratory
which entails an investment of Rs.150 crore.
The park has been accorded the status of a SEZ by the Union Ministry of
Commerce and Industry. It will be a hub for research and training to develop
treatment methodologies with specific focus on regenerative medicine.
The company also plans to construct multi-specialty 'Bio-Hospital' with 1,000
beds which will combine clinical medicine with regenerative medicine and basic
sciences. Plans are afoot to set-up a medical college which will be away from
the SEZ and will come up in a span of three years.
