The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has proposed a new road overbridge (RoB) at Patigadda to ease traffic flow.
The project, valued at Rs 108.02 crore, will feature four lanes in two directions, a central median, and footpaths. It aims to provide smooth and continuous traffic movement between PV Narasimha Rao Marg, Patigadda, Rasoolpura, and Sardar Patel Road. This development is expected to reduce the travel distance between Narasimha Rao Street and Minister Road.
The project is based on a traffic evaluation, which projected the passenger car unit (PCU) to rise from 3,081 this year to 4,764 in the coming years. The construction cost is Rs 94.5 crore, with land acquisition and utility shifting expenses estimated at Rs 8.85 crore and Rs 4.67 crore, respectively.
