The Ujjain-Shajapur region in Madhya Pradesh is poised to become a major green energy and solar equipment manufacturing hub.
On 15 November, 2025, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated six industrial units in Shajapur, with a combined investment of Rs 8,174 crore. This investment is expected to create over 15,000 employment opportunities. The highlight is the establishment of Jackson Integrated Solar’s production unit, with a Rs 7,104.89 crore investment. The region will also benefit from new infrastructure projects, including a 38.95 km four-lane road from Ujjain to Maksi.
The development of a green manufacturing hub in the region will support energy equipment production, MSMEs, and farming activities. The region’s strategic location, with robust connectivity, is expected to transform Ujjain, Dewas, and Shajapur into Madhya Pradesh's industrial triad.
