Gurugram Metro Rail (GMRL) has requested around 1,000 sq. mtrs. of land near Basai pond to construct entry and exit points for the proposed Basai metro station, part of the Phase One Metro line from Millennium City Centre to Sector-9 station.
The request includes 785 sq mtrs. for the viaduct and 365 sq. mtrs. for station access facilities on opposite sides of the Basai–Dwarka Expressway carriageway, where the elevated station will be built. GMRL has asked the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) to verify land ownership to expedite construction, which is expected to begin soon. The project aims to develop the Basai pond area as a green space alongside the metro infrastructure.
The alignment follows the service road near the GMDA flyover and runs parallel to the carriageway towards Sector-101 station near Dwarka Expressway. HSVP officials have confirmed ongoing efforts to identify and allocate the required land to keep the project on schedule.
