Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation has floated a tender for the construction of a 72 MLD sewage treatment plant (STP) at Sargasan.
The contract,worth Rs 166.98 crore to be developed under the hybrid annuity model (HAM), includes multiple key components. These include laying a 200-mtrs.-long 1800 mm dia trunkline by micro-tunneling from the existing manhole to the proposed terminal sewage pumping station (TSPS), construction of the TSPS with all electromechanical works; rising main from the TSPS to the STP, along with the STP construction. Additionally, treated water will be conveyed to Pethapur power plant and Swarnim Park.
The construction period is set for 21 months from the effective date, followed by a three-month trial run and 15 years of operation and maintenance post-commercial operation date (COD).
The bid submission deadline is 27 October, 2025.
