Telangana Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy announced that repairs to the Annaram, Medigadda, and Sundilla barrages of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme will be undertaken, in line with recommendations from the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA).
During an inspection of the Jawahar Janpahad Lift Irrigation Scheme, the Minister highlighted an increase in cultivated area and production. He directed officials to complete the Jawahar Janpahad scheme by December to benefit 10,000 acres. He also announced plans to revive long-pending projects like Pranahita-Chevella and Tummidihetti, initiated by the late YSR government.
Listing recent developments in Huzurnagar, his constituency, Minister Reddy highlighted ongoing works like new college buildings, an R&B guest house, an irrigation office, and a Rs 40-crore advanced technology centre, reaffirming his commitment to regional development.
