Clean energy firm Gentari has partnered with UltraTech Cement to commission a 7.5 MW hybrid round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy project at UltraTech’s Sewagram Cement Works in Gujarat.
The integrated facility combines solar, wind, and battery storage on a single site, aimed at providing reliable and consistent green power to the cement manufacturing unit. Sharad Pungalia, Country Head of Gentari India, said, “This project wasn’t built in isolation—it was co-created with our customer UltraTech to deliver a solution that is not only sustainable, but operationally viable at scale.”
By blending multiple renewable sources, the facility addresses intermittency challenges typically linked with clean energy, ensuring steady supply. The plant employs advanced technologies including bifacial solar modules with trackers to maximise solar yield, supported by wind turbines and battery storage.
According to Gentari, this integrated model demonstrates that clean energy systems can be “engineered for performance, not just production,” offering a replicable template for large-scale industrial sustainability.
