The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has issued a preliminary notification for the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR), planned with a 100-mtrs. width.
The notification lists affected lands with survey numbers across various mandals and villages in multiple districts. Citizens can submit objections or suggestions until September 15, 2025, after which a final notification will follow. A digital roadmap and Google coordinates have also been provided for clarity. The RRR is designed to extend Hyderabad’s metropolitan boundary, support future urban expansion, streamline infrastructure development, and guide layout planning. Officials said the notification aims to provide transparency for land acquisition, layout approvals, and construction permits in impacted zones.
HMDA’s jurisdiction has now expanded from 7,257 sq. km to 10,472.723 sq. km, covering 11 districts, 1,355 villages, and 104 mandals, marking a major expansion of Hyderabad’s metropolitan reach. The 354 km RRR will impact several villages and mandals, while officials clarified that lands in eight outer districts across 33 mandals and 163 villages will remain unaffected.
