Vishwa Samudra Engineering has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for the extension of the JP Ganga Path in Bihar.
The work, valued at Rs 6,498 crore, has been issued by the Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSRDCL). It will extend the expressway corridor from Digha–Sherpur to Koilwar Road, significantly improving regional connectivity and easing traffic congestion in Patna and adjoining districts. The project will be executed under the hybrid annuity mode (HAM).
Once completed, the extended corridor is expected to provide faster access to southern Bihar and Jharkhand, while also decongesting existing routes. “This strategic road infrastructure will accelerate growth in the state,” a senior BSRDCL official said.
