The Haryana government has signed a
memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI)
for constructing a six-lane Delhi-Rohtak highway
under NHDP Phase-III A on BOT basis.
The project is estimated to cost
around Rs.487 crore ($122 million) and will involve six-laning of the road 63 km
long, and construction of 16 flyovers and three railway road-over-bridges. A 16
km long bypass will also be constructed at Bahadurgarh town along the highway
and a 23 km long bypass will be developed at Rohtak
The project is scheduled for
completion within 30 months.
