The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) recently opened financial bids for works related to remodelling and augmentation of Mukundpur Metro for Line-7 and Line-8 under Delhi Metro Phase-4 in which Himcon Engineers emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder.
DMRC had invited bids for this work in March 2021 with an estimated cost of Rs 71.37 crore and completion period of 30 months.
In June 2021, technical bids were opened which revealed names of 10 bidders. Later, five bidders were disqualified based on technical evaluation.
The financial bid values of the remaining five technically qualified bidders were Himcon Engineers (Rs 62.64 crore), KBG Engineers (Rs 63.06 crore), Quality Buildcon (66.37 crore), Pioneer Fabricators (Rs 70.80 crore) and Lisha Engineers (Rs 70.87 crore).
The scope of work under Package DC-27 includes civil works for remodeling and augmentation of Mukundpur Metro depot-cum-workshop including design, fabrication, supply and erection of pre-fabricated steel roof structures, roof portals, purlins, sheeting, etc and water supply, sanitary installation, drainage and site development works at Mukundpur Depot for Line-7 & Line-8 of Delhi MRTS Phase-IV.
The capacity of Mukundpur Depot will be augmented so that Metro trains that will operate for extended sections of Line-7 and Line-8 under Phase-4 will be kept here for stabling and maintenance once these lines become operational.
