Northern Railways has floated a tender worth Rs 374.93 crore for extensive civil works related to the new broad-gauge (BG) railway line between Kartoli (Punjab) and Talwara, part of the Nangal Dam–Talwara section in Punjab.
The scope of work includes earthwork in cutting and filling, blanketing, construction of viaducts, major and minor bridges, road over bridges (ROBs), road under bridges (RUBs), protection works, and other allied infrastructure tasks. The work will cover a stretch of 5.694 km between km 77.175 and km 82.869 within the Punjab area.
The project is a critical part of Northern Railways' plan to expand rail connectivity in Punjab, aiming to improve transportation infrastructure and facilitate better movement of goods and passengers in the region. The closing date for bid submission is 08 August, 2025.
