ITC Hotels is set to enter the branded residences market, eyeing growth opportunities in both leisure and metro locations. Managing Director Anil Chadha confirmed ongoing talks with developers and openness to standalone branded residential projects.
Construction of the Taj Sky View and Residences in Chennai is progressing on schedule, with over 60 percent of its 123 units sold. The project, with AMPA Housing Development as the developer, includes a luxury hotel with 253 keys and is expected to open in mid-2027.
As per Noesis Capital Advisors, currently, India hosts 16 branded residential projects with 4,000 units, led by Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Odisha, and Chennai, with potential growth in tier-II cities like Indore and Surat. Industry players like Marriott and Oberoi Realty are also actively developing branded residences and luxury villas, highlighting rising demand fueled by increasing affluence and strong economic fundamentals across India.
