Ignitho Technologies, an IT services company, has inaugurated a new facility in Sholinganallur, Chennai, aimed at expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. The office was officially opened by Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan.
The company plans to grow its Chennai-based workforce from the current 100 to 1,000 within the next two years, starting with an initial capacity increase to 300. This expansion is part of Ignitho’s strategy to boost its revenue to Rs 100 crore within a year. The new Chennai facility will act as a central hub for the development and deployment of AI solutions, focusing on advanced generative AI models and other innovative technologies, according to Ashin Antony, the company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Ignitho is a portfolio company of Nuivio Ventures, a US-based firm, with most of its development operations centreed in Chennai. The newly launched facility will also serve as the AI capability centre for the parent entity. The company specialises in building AI agents and analytics tools for large enterprise clients across the United States, the United Kingdom, and several European countries.
