As of June 30, 2025, IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust’s (IndiGrid) operational power transmission portfolio reached 8,742 circuit kilometers (ckm) of transmission lines and 20,050 MVA of transformation capacity, spread across 18 states and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The portfolio comprises 18 operational projects, predominantly tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) schemes, including 16 interstate and one intrastate project in Haryana. Additionally, it includes a captive-use transmission line in Madhya Pradesh and six regulated tariff mechanism (RTM) projects managed by TBCB subsidiaries.
The portfolio expanded in Q1/FY26 with the acquisition of Koppal Narendra Transmission (KNTL), a 100 percent equity stake bought from ReNew Transmission Ventures at an enterprise value of approx. Rs 2,108 crore. Commissioned in November 2023, KNTL is an interstate scheme in Karnataka with 276 ckm of transmission lines and 2,500 MVA of substation capacity.
IndiGrid also has four under-construction greenfield ISTS-TBCB projects in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir, totaling 504 ckm and 5,000 MVA. Its battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio includes two projects: a 180 MW/360 MWh unit in Gujarat and a 250 MW/500 MWh project in Rajasthan, both secured through competitive bidding.
