JD Cables has announced the receipt of a Rs 163 crore work order from Kaushal Engineering, continuing the earlier order of Rs 244 crore received on 23 December, 2025.
This brings the total value of the orders to Rs 407 crore. The scope of the new work order involves the construction of balance highway works, including the construction of vehicular underpasses (VUP), bridges, and associated electrical works for the six-laning of the Bihar–Jharkhand Border (Chordaha to Gorhar Section) of NH-2.
The project will be carried out under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode as part of the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase V. The work is expected to be completed within nine months. JD Cables continues to enhance its presence in infrastructure development with this significant contract in the highway sector.
