JSW Energy’s subsidiary, JSW Energy (Utkal), has secured a letter of award (LoA) from Power Company of Karnataka (PCKL) for a 400 MW power supply contract spanning 25 years, starting 01 April, 2026.
The coal needed for this project will be sourced from Coal India under the SHAKTI Scheme 2017. This long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) is subject to regulatory approvals and formal signing. Post-agreement, JSW Energy (Utkal) will have 57 percent of its capacity under long-term contracts, ensuring stable earnings.
The company’s installed capacity expanded by 70 percent year-on-year to 12,768 MW, including renewable acquisitions and organic additions, reflecting a robust growth trajectory.
