The JSW Group has announced a Rs 1.2 lakh crore investment in Karnataka across its various sectors, including steel, cement, paints, infrastructure, and energy.
Chairman Sajjan Jindal made the declaration in Bengaluru, stating, "JSW will be investing close to ?1.2 lakh crore in this state of Karnataka over the next few years, which will provide thousands of employment opportunities in the state."
The steel producer will invest Rs 43,000 crore to expand its plant in Vijayanagar, with plans to transform it into the world’s largest and most advanced steel plant. Additionally, Rs 56,000 crore will be invested in the Group’s energy business.
