KCC Buildcon has been declared the lowest (L1) bidder for the Rs 283 crore contract for the development of a new greenfield airport at Bundi, near Kota in Rajasthan.
The tender has been issued by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and involves a comprehensive scope including detailed designing, engineering, procurement, and execution of major airside infrastructure. Key components cover earthworks, grading, construction of runway, taxiways, apron, and isolation bay.
Additional responsibilities comprise civil and electrical works for NAV-AIDS (navigational aids) facilities, building a perimeter and approach road, operational and non-operational boundary walls, a runway lighting system, and other allied works critical to airport functionality.
This development is part of the broader push to enhance regional air connectivity under the UDAN scheme. With this bid win, KCC Buildcon further strengthens its position in the aviation infrastructure sector, reinforcing its technical capacity to deliver complex civil and electrical works in highvalue government projects.
