KPI Green Energy has inked a contract agreement with Coal India for the development of a 300 MWAC grid-connected ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) plant. The project will be located at the Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPCL) Solar Park in Khavda, Gujarat.
The agreement involves not only the development of the solar plant but also includes operation & maintenance (O&M) services for a period of five years. The total contract value is Rs 1,311.40 crore, highlighting the scale and significance of the project. The solar PV plant is expected to be completed by November 2025.
With the completion of this project, KPI Green Energy aims to strengthen its position in the solar energy market and accelerate its contribution towards the nation's ambitious renewable energy targets. The company has set a goal of achieving a 10 GW solar energy capacity by 2030, and this contract with Coal India is a key step in reaching that target.
