Kaynes Semicon, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kaynes Technology India, has achieved a major milestone by shipping 900 units of India’s first commercially packaged MultiChip Module (MCM) — the Intelligent Power Module (IPM5), from its advanced OSAT facility in Sanand on 15 October, 2025.
Delivered to Alpha & Omega Semiconductor (AOS), a US-based global leader in power semiconductors, the IPM5 integrates 17 dies, including IGBTs, controller ICs, FRDs, and diodes, into a compact, high-performance module. This marks the start of commercial production under the India Semiconductor Mission 1.0, with mass production targeted for January 2026 and scale-up to 1.5 million chips per day by Q1 of FY27.
The Sanand facility is set to reach a full capacity of 6.3 million chips per day. This delivery underscores Kaynes Semicon’s manufacturing strength, high-quality standards, and India’s growing capability to produce advanced semiconductor modules for global applications.
