On 05 November, 2025, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of major infrastructure projects led by National Highways Logistics Management (NHLML).
The meeting focused on key developments, including the Parvatmala Scheme ropeway projects, the Inter Modal Station (IMS) at Katra, and the Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Jammu, all of which aim to improve connectivity, logistics, and tourism in the region. The Chief Secretary highlighted the importance of the ropeway projects, noting that bids have been invited for the preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs) for seven key PPP-based ropeway projects.
Chief Secretary Dulloo emphasised the importance of speeding up the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) to allow for the commencement of DPR-related tasks. These tasks include conducting topographical and geo-technical surveys, as well as assessing demand. The meeting also reviewed the IMS at Katra and MMLP Jammu, urging swift action on financial models, land availability, and DPR-related work.
